Adobe raw converter for sony rx100

Yes, the RX VI dng file behaves like any supported raw file. LR6 says "embedded lens profile correction applied" at the bottom of lens correction window and you can tick chromatic aberration correction as usual. See JohnGI1's post in this thread that says converted files do contain corrections. While I was experimenting to prove one way or the other, he posted his message.

I reached the same conclusion before seeing his post. I downloaded the OOC jpg and raw files of that photo. There were obvious perspective corrections being done on the in-camera jpg. Once converted, the dng version looked identical to the jpg in LR6 from a perspective point of view. Then, I noticed the message in the lens corrections panel that indicated that "Built in Lens Profile applied".

Clicking on that message pops up the window shown below that gives more details on the corrections being applied. The obvious conclusion is that during the conversion of raw to dng in Adobe Converter, built-in profiles are included in the dng file.

When opened in LR6 or CS6, those profiles are applied. The user has no choice in the matter. It looks like my screen grab is not capable of being displayed in a DPR post. Sorry about that. You can duplicate by going to the lens correction panel in LR6 and clicking on the small message at the bottom of that panel concerning built in corrections being applied. That's unexpected.
