Lack of compiler tools that fit into our dev chain is the biggest reason why. Avoid the Windows 10 Anniversary Update! Windows 10 free upgrade ends today Remote Control Enterprise 5. Our customers only use data involving continental US timezones. It mentions a update that we have not had our customerus use before and the link to the KB is broken. The patch says it cumulative of all DST update, but if it did include the updates shouldnt they include the US time zone changes in the list of time zone changes?
So anyway, the main question is if we just have US customers dealing with US time data, is the patch good enough or has there been other updates along the way that we would need the cumulative patch for? I installed many times and my time zone does not appears neither ask me to reboot the phone. I'm from Uruguay one of the countries with new DST config. In reply to matias53's post on March 12, Hi, Have you tried soft resetting the phone to see if it resolves the issue?
What timezone are you setting the phone to and what is the problem? Microsoft has not updated the timezone patch since late last summer.
Was this change more recent? In reply to Chris De Herrera's post on March 12, I installed the MicroSoft patch and it didn't help even with soft reset. Actually, when I open the recurring appointment, it still shows the correct time i. Noon even though when I close the appointment it shows up on the calendar one hour later i.
Actually only one recurring appointment was like that, while the others were incorrectly one hour late both in the open appointment and after closing the appointment Maybe the patch only works before the fact?
Hopefully it is fixed for the Fall time change now. Actually the appointments after the November 7, "fall back" time change are at the correct time. In reply to trailmix's post on March 14, I am having the same issue.
I applied the mobile device patch last fall, but as of yesterday all my appointments are off by 1 hour. Re-ran the same file WindowsMobile-KB CAB package today, but that did not fix the issue. I am running Win Mo 6. You can't look at it the Win98 version of because it's not there anymore, unless you downloaded it last month.
Unless you found it somewhere else I'm talking about for Win98SE, obviously. I promise I'll do better with my REG file. Can you go to sleep happy, now? If you don't, there's no legal ramification, or otherwise, of changing the time on the proper dates on your own, if you choose to do so.
It should however have been given a better name. I hope you all got some sleep I know I did. Most jump up, brush themselves off, and hurry on about their business as if nothing had happen. Not quite. Let me see if I have this right: The newer numbered one is simply a superset of the older numbered one , ONLY in that it added some Western Australia data. Then why on that links page did it just say "Western Australia", and nothing about it being useful for the USA?
You will all kindly ignore the fact that it would have been a smidgen clearer if that last statement had read "They are just using the newer KB numbered file name and getting rid of the older KB numbered file, so that people do not get confused". I mean I'll leave the legal ramifications for MEB to explain during visiting hours from his jail cell. I do dimly recall it. I'm not sure, but I think the TZEdit method covers the whole thing by putting the new dates into Australia, I see Anyhow, good luck with your script or.
But, fine, I'll take that out-- especially now that Candlin saw a link to TZEdit is in the article itself! But the article is confusing in its instructions! And you'd have to carry the computer on your back. But, even then, just do it with TZEdit again! Since I was the first to bring this urgent matter up, could you please delete my name re.
I might-- IF you put back that blurb about removing clothing! On Wed, 17 Jan , "Bill in Co. I've changed the interface so it resembles Win Also changed that awful logon screen, too. It looks like the WinNT logon, now.
Naw, it was just an expression my dad often used, and I just felt like using it, even though it didn't really fit. I still hold you in the same high esteem as always It must be OEQuotefix is deleting it, then, maybe out of prudishness. PA Bear should be informed, as he is the first I saw recommending it! What do you want me to say? Thanks to Laura Fredericks for bringing to this newsgroup's attention the problem of Microsoft not issuing a patch for the DST changes to Win98 and other old, non-supported operating systems.
But I'm glad you haven't been caught yet! Well it aint that hard to find me,, heck da govmnt noz wair I iz I have a unique position, an ID which would be absolutely stupid to steal. It would put you on every government's watch list; and I have never done anything but expose the government PA Bear or glee may irradiate me!
Or Harper or even Martell! Yea, yea JUST, maybe, get on the waiting list for a cabin or cave in Saskatchewan, is all-- on the other side of this place, though! Then I'll put it on my website. Reply to author. Report message as abuse. Show original message.
