Sargent criticized the sequel for having over-the-top minor encounters, and warned that the complexity of the plot would require careful preparation. Complaints: 1. The adventure module contains some cards with read-aloud text for the players.
This serves as the randomization mechanic for the ending in the same fashion that the Tarokka reading served the original I6-Ravenloft. These cards are supposed to be double-sided: you cut them out, hand them to your players, and they read the responses to the question on the front of the card from the list of options on the back. These cards were printed out of order - the fronts come on the "backside" of the "monster and statistics" table, and the "backs" of the cards come on the "front side" See more of the next set of cutouts.
The adventure also features double-sided cutouts of NPCs, with stats on the front and biographical information on the back. These have also been printed out-of-order, with the result that if you want to make use of these resources, you will need to photocopy them out of the book rather carefully to fix the off-by-one numbering.

The print on demand quality is very good, with a few minor problems that prevent it from being perfect. There are a few double sided hand-outs in the back that could be cut out of the original - but they are presented in the print on demand in the wro [ See All Ratings and Reviews. Narrow Results. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.
The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.
For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book.
Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive. Original electronic format These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable.
